None of the four existing lights actually function in my game, so I ended up deleting the existing lights and placing new ones via Edit Town. The Sims 3 has been nominated for The Teen Choice Awards Video Game of the year. I also noticed that there are NO LIGHTS in the entire building, except for 2 out front and 2 in the very back on the wall. You will need to do this from Edit Town mode. Make sure you get the CONSIGNMENT register and not one of the other registers. Some people have reported that deleting the existing Consignment Register and replacing it with a new one out of the buydebug menu has fixed their problem. I don't know if manually assigning a previously employed Sim has helped as I've not had time to play test since doing that. I have a thread on the NRAAS site about this problem currently. It is NOT importing ("immigrating") a Sim to man the post, after 2 to 3 Sim weeks. In order to man the post I would have to assign an already employed Sim to the register, which you can only do through Twallan's Register (that I know of). The problem is that no Sim has been assigned to work that register and there are currently no unemployed Sims in my game. Twallan's Register is said to be helpful but I have it and it hasn't helped so far.

I hope you guys have some ideas to help because I really just want the consignment shop to work. I've tried so much and put so much time and effort into it and I still can't get it to work. I then figured it might be because my Sim owns the place, so I sold it. Replacing the whole lot itself didn't work either - the cashier-person just doesn't show up. I googled the problem and noticed there are people having the same problem as me, but their problem was easily fixed by replacing the cash register for a new one, for example. I tried different times as well the other days, but it was always closed, no matter what the time was. It still was closed I could enter the building, but there was no one to be found inside to actually buy something from or sell anything, for that matter, and when clicking on the cash register it said the shop was closed. I figured it had to be the time and decided to go back the other day (I believe it was around 11 AM). When I wanted to go sell some stuff there, the shop was closed. This is the first time I actually did something with the consignment shop, so I don't even know how it works exactly - well, I've read about it online so I know what it does, but I haven't experienced it myself.
